St. Patrick's Day, 1965, Northern Ireland

Well, this is somewhat different than what I normally do every St. Patrick's Day... It started out as just looking up what girls would wear in 1960s Ireland, but then it ended up with me fleshing out Eileen's backstory quite a bit more. I knew it wasn't a great time for Ireland, but I thought it might be interesting learning more about what the times were like where she came from.

The fashion wasn't really that different from here in America (here's a couple of sites I used for reference [link] [link]). And then I found some people's history about growing up there ([link]). I also found an article about an Irish coup that took place that year, which was also the year Eileen was 18 ([link]).

And then for funsies, I wrote up more of her backstory... It's not set in stone or anything, but it's got more depth now:
"Eileen is born in January 1947, in Northern Ireland. During her teenage years in the 1960s, Ireland was a turbulant country, to say the least. She got pregnant in 1966 from Liam with Connor out of wedlock, causing her to flee her country. She fled to England with Liam in late 1966, and stayed with her more progressive grandparents for almost two years. In early March 1967 Connor was born, when Eileen was just 20 years old. Eileen, Liam and Connor moved to California in late 1968."

And then went on to have four more kids, as you know ^^

I thought this might be interesting for the people who either don't like her, or are quick to judge her for her viewpoints. You have to remember where she came from, and that's she not perfect, either
